About
Hello. I’m Joacim. I set up this blog for sharing code and related thoughts mainly. I think sharing is a good thing. And also writing about what I do helps me get a bit of a different perspective on it.
The word splashdust doesn’t mean anything in particular. It just happened to pop into my head when I was registering a domain name a few years ago.
Currently I make a living as a freelancing web developer, working mainly from my home in a suburb to Stockholm, Sweden. I mostly make websites and web based systems, but occasionally flash games and apps as well.
I do a lot of coding in my spare also. I think it’s great fun, mostly :). Currently I’m working on a game written in haXe. I’ve not really decided what kind of game it will be yet, but it will involve physics simulation. So far I’ve only been working on a level editor for making the levels for the game.
Other stuff I enjoy is hanging out with friends, playing PS3 and watching TV series. I also enjoy boats a lot, and I think the Stockholm archipelago is an awesome place.
By the way, if you are an AS3 developer and would like to use any of my haXe code found on this site, you’ll be pleased to know that the haxe compiler can convert haxe code to AS3 automatically. Have a look here.
